What are stem cells?

Stem cells are unique cells in the body capable of dividing into either more stem cells or into different types of new cells, playing a crucial role in the body's natural repair mechanism for healing injuries and recovering from illnesses. They have remarkable regenerative capabilities, potent anti-inflammatory effects, and secrete growth factors that facilitate the body's healing process.

Why are cord blood derived MSCs useful in a clinical setting?

Cord-blood derived stem cells are valuable in clinical settings because they have remarkable regenerative abilities, can significantly reduce inflammation by altering cytokine levels, and secrete growth factors that enhance the body's healing process. These cells are versatile, able to differentiate into various cell types necessary for repairing organs, tissues, and treating diverse conditions, from skin burns and infections to joint cartilage degradation.
